Darren Simoni, Principal
Building multibody models since 1996: Adams Solver, durability and loads, ride and handling, tire and terrain models, wheeled and tracked vehicle dynamics, FEA, and correlation of models to physical test.
You work with Darren directly, from the first call to the answer.

Three decades of models that changed designs
Multibody simulation for teams at Oshkosh, Magna, Ricardo, Achates Power, Knapheide, SAF-HOLLAND, Caterpillar, Genie, Crown, Joy Global, Toro and Bosch.
- A hybrid mining shovel for Joy Global Surface Mining: new design and controls concepts validated in simulation.
- An autonomous tracked vehicle for Stratom, validated in simulation, transient stress included, before the prototype was built.
- Bucket loads for a concept-stage skid steer loader, from coupled material and machine simulation.
DSIM also publishes its own Reference Study: a welded trailing arm, from road events to weld life in miles.
Software-agnostic, Adams Solver by default
I have worked in most of the major multibody tools, Simpack, Simcenter 3D Motion, RecurDyn, MotionView, Project Chrono, and MATLAB Simscape among them, and I still use them when a program calls for it. In-house, DSIM standardizes on Adams Solver because it can model and analyze virtually any mechanical system.
Loads carry straight through to finite element stress and fatigue, including weld fatigue. On DSIM's Reference Study, that chain was checked against hand calculations, a second finite element solver and published tire test data.
