Desired Results for Clients in a Practical & Appropriate Manner.

Having an ability to blend open source tools along with commercially acceptable tools to get desired results for his clients in a practical & appropriate manner is what brought Darren Simoni to where he is today.

He first listened to his entrepreneurial spirit by programming various pieces of software at a young age and starting various side businesses when he was just a teenager. Having a knack for engineering and solving problems, Darren refined his skills in the heavy machinery and track vehicle space.

Yearning to do more for his clients, Darren formed DSIM Technologies in 2011 to Strive for exceptional quality and continuous improvement in the dynamic simulation space.

Being struck by a vision of creating streamlined processes that eventually benefit society with new and improved products is what drives the team at DSIM.

We operate our business under these guiding principles:

  • We communicate lavishly – with our customers and within our organization.
  • We strive for efficient, uncompromised, sincere, fabulous, caring and exceptional service (as close to perfect as possible).
  • We share our vision of engineering utilizing an efficient plan with simulation and physical testing
  • Pursue innovation in every circumstance possible.
  • Invest heavily and continuously in specialized knowledge.
  • Maintain relationships with the academic & research community.
  • Have an acute awareness of emerging CAE technologies and trends.
  • Leverage appropriate tools, including open source tools, reducing cost & increasing efficiency.
  • Transfer knowledge and share ideas with our customers and community.
“One of our customers requirements was to be able to provide simulation evidence to support our lapping machine capabilities.  Unfortunately, we didn’t have any systems or MBD capabilities in house and putting together an entire program in-house just wasn’t suitable.  We hired Dynamic Simulation Technologies and were blown away at the quality of the results they were able to deliver.  Our client was thrilled and ended up being a win-win situation altogether.  Darren and his team under promised and over delivered big time.”

“Working with Adams software was a love hate relationship.  Even though the software had so much capability and potential, we were not taking advantage of it.  That is, until Darren’s training where he really took the time to understand our processes and delivered a streamlined training to help us with these issues.  We now use Adams to a much greater depth and it’s improved our workflow tremendously.   Darren still provides ongoing support to our team and we continue to flourish.”

“Prior to working with Darren, Joy Global Surface Mining was not using any Dynamic Simulation. The company was using archaic tools not suitable for supporting the development of new machines. It was critical to introduce a Model-Based approach with Multi-Body Dynamics as a core development tool. Darren was engaged right at the start of the project and brought our simulation capacity to an entirely new level where we were able to confidently engineer an innovative hybrid mining shovel. In the end, we were able to develop new design and controls concepts and have them validated through simulation without spending excess money on tests. Thanks to Darren and his team, we developed a better, safer product with more confidence of its expected real-world performance.”
